We're Zanzibar's leading luxury tour company and DMC, creating unforgettable experiences across one of the world's most beautiful islands.
Naru was founded by Mow, a local Tanzanian who grew up exploring the island before moving to the UK, and Chidi, who spent years building travel companies and creating experiences for thousands of travelers around the world.
After more than six years operating trips across destinations like Greece, Bali, and South America, we came back to our roots with one goal: to showcase the very best of Zanzibar while creating opportunities for the local community to thrive as the island grows.
What makes Zanzibar special isn't just the beaches. It's the culture, history, warm people, incredible sunsets, and a way of life that reminds you to slow down and enjoy the moment.

We design, manage, and deliver our experiences ourselves — from carefully crafting our own fleet of designer dhow boats and operating one of the island's largest selections of premium vehicles, to creating and executing the tours and experiences you enjoy. Mow S
A local Tanzanian and founder of Naru Zanzibar, Mow grew up exploring the island, swimming with dolphins, and experiencing Zanzibar long before it became one of Africa's most sought-after destinations. Passionate about the island's future, he believes tourism should create opportunities for local communities while preserving what makes Zanzibar so special.
After living in Tanzania, the UK, Bali, Dubai, and beyond, he returned home to build Naru. Today, he's obsessed with the details that turn a good trip into an unforgettable one.
Chidinma A
After building global travel brands and visiting more than 45 countries, Chidi fell in love with Zanzibar and saw an opportunity to create something truly different alongside Mow. What stood out wasn't just the beaches — it was the island's culture, history, energy, and authenticity. It's one of the few places in the world where luxury, adventure, and local culture come together so effortlessly.
After years of designing trips for thousands of travelers globally, she brings a deep understanding of what makes an experience truly unforgettable.
